Default What is this called?

Found this while changing the tire on my 2000 civic. Are those adjustable.

The blue thing is the shock.

Dat chrome piece is an adjustable sleeve.

Yellow spring is a.... Spring

Yes those are adjustable for ride height.

Yes they are but you'll need a spanner wrench to be able to adjust the height.I would take a good look at them though the adjustment rings should sit flat and not to the side the way they are.

I'm sorry I can't load a pic from my phone but you can order one from skunk2 for like $12 I work at AutoZone and I have never seen one before.

Well I think we know why that sleeve is cranked all the way up. The car would be on the ground if it wasnt.

It is made of aluminum so DO NOT try to adjust with a screwdriver, try and find the adjustment tool.

spanner nuts are crooked anyways. they prolly wouldnt adjust from being jacked up(threads)
but you can always use a flathead and a hammer to get the spanner nuts loose then jus tap them up or down
