CRX excessive rear camber?
My first post here.
I am a mechanic of many years and am baffled.
I bought a fairly clean CRX yesterday that has visible positive rear camber.
We do not have wheel alignment tools at our shop.
If the car is sitting on level ground and I put a carpenters square next to the left rear tire it touches the top of the sidewall and there is a distance of approx 3/4" to the sidewall at the ground level. The right rear tire has more positive camber, approx 1-1/4" gap at bottom.
Other than shocks and coil over sleeves/springs,everything looks original.
Still on drums.
Ride height is about 14-1/4" measured from center of rear wheels to top of fender.
Two odd things that I found:
the INSIDE right spindle nut looks like it had moved slightly and the nut was not very tight.
the rear "crossmember" that the lower control arms attach to looks to have been torn apart right in the center for a distance of about 2" then a plate welded on.The tear looks to go into the passenger floor.Almost as if a tow hook was attached then tore the metal away?
Has anyone run into similar issues?
Maybe both rear tires slid into curbs and bent both spindles downward?

I think I have figured it out myself.
The crossmember is worse than I first thought.
The trunk floor is buckled slightly upward and broken up quite badly.
It looks as though the two lower control arm mounts have moved towards each other, causing the positive camber.
Off to the frame shop I guess.
I let the seller know and hopefully she will help out with the costs.

hopefully I attached the pics correctly
Maybe this is why they sell lower rear tie bars.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
