I am trying to feed 2 x 12 GA wires from the driver side into the engine compartment. I need an inverter directly connected to the battery over its own fuse.
What looks like a big factory grommet (looks like a two layer grommet) is located on the left side and a little above (seen from the driver seat) the brake booster. However, in the engine compartment, this grommet is totally obscured by the brake booster, and impossible to get to.

Have any of you fed wires through the firewall into the engine compartment on the Pilot (2012-13-14)? How did you end up feeding it through?
