89 civic hatchback d16z6 swap bogs under acceleration.
89 hatch si with d16z6, p28 ecu, obd1. bought the car and the car would bog at full throttle and up hills ( could barel go passed 65mph). the guy said the car only needed a new tps. got home changed the tps, dizzy cap, plugs and it took like ten minutes to start. then finally wouldn't start. I changed the dizzy and nothing (has spark). I have no clue what it could be, please help.
Did you calibrate your TPS?
Using a voltmeter, connect the NEG probe to chassis ground and the POS probe to the red TPS wire. Rotate the TPS until you get about 0.5volt reading. Tighten the screws and verify that you still have 0.5volts
Are you 100% sure you put the plug wires back on correctly?

So, this is now a no start issue?
Does the engine turn over?
Does it have compression?
Fuel?
Is the mechanical timing correct?
You said you changed the dizzy, did you put the ignition rotor in the new dizzy correctly?

sorry I haven't replied right away. no I haven't calibrated the tps I need to do that. but the way the guy before set up the old tps is weird, ill have to take a picture and put it on here. there's two tps lol. from the old d16a6 and one on the motor(d16z6). im pretty sure the wires are right I can check again. and my cluster is bad so I don't know if its throwing codes or not. and yes it don't start anymore and I checked one of the spark plugs and it had spark. it has compression. fuel im not positive, I just thought it sounded like a ignition problem. and I haven't checked the mechanical timimg. and the new dizzy came with the rotor aready installed.
It sounds like you are having a voltage problem under load. That could be as easy as a bad spark plug wire or as hard as the vehicle speed sensor. You'll have to start narrowing it down. I don't envy you.

lots of things can cause a car to not start, my car wouldnt start because of a crossed wire on the conversion harness...with no working check engine light what exactly do you think we can tell you?
and how do you have two tps hooked up, that makes absolutely no sense.
from what you described the car was in limp mode, your wiring is f'd up, and you drove the car so long in such bad condition its stopped running.
so either fix the dash and relay the cels to us, or just stop bumping the thread and follow the no start faq. until you have some info to share theres no advice we can give beyond blind guessing.

I only drove the car like 40 miles. I don't think its in limp mode because I had a integra that went into limp mode and its nothing like this. it didn't start until I changed the stuff I said I did. I don't have the car with me right now so I cant upload pictures or work on it I just thought some one else would of had this problem and they could help me alittle bit, sorry.....
"New cluster" to me sounds like you don't have a cluster at all right now.
You need a cluster to get VSS signal to the ECU unless you converted to a tranny mounted electronic VSS.
The stock speed sensing system has a speed pulser mounted to the back of the cluster. It it turned by the speedo cable and sends the pulses to the ECU just like a tranny mounted VSS would.
Bogging might happen and for certain vtec will never work without VSS.
