I'm looking for information on who currently has, or knows of the Nitrous record.

 

A few years ago someone posted up a video of white hatch from up the New Jersey way. In the video the time was not posted, but anyone really watching the video could kind of figure out about what it ran. I want to say that it went like mid 10's in the video. It was supposed to be a big street race car all cut up and gutted. I think it had a stock K24/k20 in it. Anyways, that one is one of the faster that I know of and that has been posted on here.

I think fmfkid250 or whatever his name is on here had a pretty good running nitrous K series car the other year.

 

Richewerks G.I. Jane went 10.0 with a K-series on nitrous.

 

the car I think you are talking about is m80 from hollywood racing if its that car that car is a all motor b series car

 

I'm not sure that is the same one. Reason I say that is because some guys sent me some PM's about it. I heard they went through a couple motors and if my memory serves me correctly I think the car may have been wrecked later. I will try to dig up the thread.

Good question.

I would think someone would take cues from Pro Mod guys or the V8 guys in general. The nitrous technology has come a long ways just like everything else. I mean, even bikes run extremely well with a good nitrous setup. I guess it's just not cool to put nitrous on Honda car.

 

Because no one is trying. You could make 700 on a dedicated nitrous setup and one of these AM street class cars will go fast as **** with that much power.

Someone on K20a posted up a 9 second pass in their nitrous car I thought. I could be mistaken.

 

I heard about the 10.0 K nitrous, I was wondering what the B nitrous record was, since I have a b, and i'ma do my best to go for it..

 

Put a 300hp motor together, hit it with another 300 and there you go. Flyin. Easy right? ha ha

 

Cubish also ran some big mph with his nitrous b-series awhile ago.

I am trying to run high 10's with a stock longblock H2B on a decent size shot.

 

I heard Norris had the unofficial nitrous record :-P

 

I had just assumed for the longest time that the FWD setup was traction-limited and had toy gearboxes to begin with . . .

Turbo cars are much easier on parts to begin with and easier to get the MPH if posting videos on the internet is your thing. A typical nitrous setup is going to make more torque and sooner.

Progressive controllers have been out for awhile but it does seem like most go directly to turbo.

 

I've always wanted to see what my car would do with a nitrous setup.

I bet I could get it to go mid to low 9's, after I blow up a few.

 

Try it out and post up the results.

 

M80 went 10.3 on two stages once, direct port stage one, single fogger stage 2

 

Nice, that's awesome! That's a stock sleeve car too if I'm not mistaken.

 

My car had 2.0 B with 3 kits on it about 10 years ago. I made ~400WHP. I never sprayed it all out at the track(too many eyes). It was for street racing but if I had to guess I'm sure it was in the 10's. I beat A LOT of fast cars back then...
