When I started my car this morning after installing my DSM's last night, if filled my garage up with smoke. I could see it coming from the exhaust pipe so....I know it has to be a setting on my S-AFC. It doesn't blow smoke when it's warm, so maybe it's an RPM thing or something. It is set at -25% at 1000rpm and -35% at 2000rpm and -35% the rest of the way. Do cars blow smoke when it's too rich or lean? I hope it's easy to fix. I'm really frustrated with the hack and want to go back to stock!!!

 

They smoke when they're too rich. The ECU dumps extra fuel in at cold idle.

yah def too rich. I have mine at -40% across the board and i run rich. this is at 6psi on a d16y8

 

What color is the smoke?
If it's black/gray, then it's fuel and you're too rich, as others said.

 

and if the smoke is GREEN or PURPLE.......

get your eyes checked.

Same thing on my ZC. Lean it out just a little more and you should be money.
