03 v6 ex cant figure out how to remove steering rack plastic
It has to be removed from under the dash. Pull down a couple strap clamps with your hand and then remove three to four black thumb nuts on the inner firewall and pull the plastic steering joint cover off. Get a 11 or 12 mm and remove the only bolt there.
KEEP YOUR WHEEL STRAIGHT. Most newer cars 93 and up have clockspring coils inside the steering coloum and will break if they are turned when not hooked up to the rack so don't just go spinning the wheel, leave it straight.

do you mean from behind, because the screws that hold the cover look like they come from behind the fire wall from engine bay and the cover on the engine bay looks like it goes between fire wall insulation and the fire wall
From under the dash. The cover on the engine side of the firewall is not split and keeps water spray from entering the rack underhood connection. Once you disconnect the rack inside, remove the mount bolts and tie rods hoses etc to pull rack out from underneath. V6, man good luck, not alot of room underneath I bet.
thanks going to start on her again tomorrow after school, **** was pissing me off hopefully all works out, but yeah ik what you mean by not alot of room i got every thing disconnected up to steering part to drop the cradle and pull the motor and its the only thing stopping us, but putting her back together should be a piece of cake tho
