Default Replacing Engine, need a little advice

Ok, so I am going to put in a new D-series engine, with MPFI, My current engine is a ZC SOHC Non-Vtec, with lots of small issues, and only DPFI, and its just more time effective to get a JDM motor, I just want to know what motor people think is best, I currently have a 4 speed tranny, but I have a 5 speed to put in as well as I will be getting new axles. and do I just need to wire in the new injectors properly to a PM6 ECU? I know the PM5 wont run MPFI, would I need anything special if I went with say a DOHC? possibly VTEC?

Any and all halp would be appreciated.

I know how to do that, the help I wanted was on picking an engine, weather or not I need a specific D-series engine, or will any D-series, SOHC or DOHC, VTEC or Non-VTEC, as long as its MPFI work?

Once you convert to MPFI, any 4 injector engine will work. You just have to match the ECU to the distributor (OBD-0 ECU = OBD-0 dizzy, OBD-1 ECU = OBD-1 OR 2 dizzy) and use the proper O2 sensor (OBD-0 = 1 wire O2, OBD-1 = 4 wire O2). And if you want to convert to OBD-1, then you need an OBD-0 to OBD-1 adapter harness.

But yes, any d series will physically bolt in.

Thank you, it is OBD-0 and I'm hoping to keep it that way, I have a set of headers and a new cat & catback, because my exhaust system is practically just missing, arriving soon next week, So is the PM6 the proper ECU for an
OBD-0 MPFI? (Single wire O2 sensor, as well as brand new OBD-0 Dizzy)
