Ok, so i just installed a d16z6 head, was rebuilt with new valves and guides(super tech). Used new Honda parts to install the head on my d15b7. I tried to fire it up and it wouldn't turn over and as i tried i heard some metal clanking. I open up cylinder #4 spark plug and take it out and I receive the plug broken and shattered.
What did i do wrong...? Can someone help me out please?
I thought the dizzy being 180* might have something to do with it... Or that I got a wrong head... but its p08 head. I thought that it might have something to do with my head gasket since its a metal y8 head gasket... Or that I had the wrong plugs... Honda #98079-5614P... Or that I just installed it wrong..?

I will recheck my timing once again before dismantling the engine...
From my understanding through... Timing wouldn't dent/break my spark plug, correct? If you look at the picture my plug is dented, like it was smashed my the Piston or Valves. If I'm wrong let me know.

Was the block pulled from the car and worked on for this mini me or was it just a head pull, clean the block, put new gasket and bolt new head in?
For the life of me, I cannot think of a reason the piston would hit one spark plug in stock formations with just the head swapped.

The curve part of metal doesn't look like it made any contact to the piston. Double check the timing belt with all timing marks and use another spark plug. If you raise the piston in cylinder 4 to TDC you can probably be able to shine a light down and check the top part of the piston for any scratchs on the surface.

OP, you don't have a timing problem. The ground isn't damaged. It looks like you might have something flying around in the cylinder. Given how damaged that plug is, you need to take the head off and get any and all debris out of the cylinder, and make sure nothing damaged your walls or dome.
