Quick Background: I have built SOHC D16Y8 head, OEM Timing Belt kit D16y8, Stage 2 clutch and a bunch of other parts just laying around my garage. I got bored and wanted to get a little project rolling so I'm buying my best friends 1999 Civic Dx Hatchback (I may start first build thread once I get ball rolling)

Yes I know another mini me thread..... I apologize in advance if this is covered somewhere but I promise I've searched on H-t, B20vtec, D16.org but I couldn't find and answer to something I feel would've be easily covered in someone's build.

1. Would it just make it easier/cleaner to just use a stock d16y8 wire harness for the d16y7/d16y8 Mini-Me build? Seems like it would be the logical thing to do instead or running you own wires or splicing. Please correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I'm overthinking the wiring a little much.

 

99-00 EX harness. Add in the secondary 02 wiring to the ECU. Or use your harness and make the necessary mods:

That's an amazing and extensive write up. After looking through it ill most likely try to hunt down a harness to make life a little easier. Thank you, you're a sir and a scholar!
