Icon6 96 Civic Alarm connections

I am trying to wire up a keyless entry alarm system on my 1996 Civic I already installed after market power door lock actuators. What im not sure of is where to wire

Red/Black wire from the connection That is marked 12P

Red, Blue, Yellow, White wires from the second connection.

from the other picture I am trying to wire it up as shown on Fig 4 but what does VCC mean?

also the kit came with a relay and the relay connection has 4 wires 2 green 1 white and 1 yellow but no where in the instructions does it say where those wires go...

I need help please

The Red/Blk wire is for a power trunk opener, so I assume you won't use that wire.

The yellow wire connects to the yellow wire of the relay. With the key in ON(II), the relay supplies voltage to an unspecified component.

The white wire connects to the dash fuse box option slot for ACC voltage.

The orange wire connects to the brake light switch on the pedal.

The blue wire I'm not sure about. Possibly to turn on dome light.

The red wire I'm not sure about. By the description, maybe it runs to an auto hood opener?

VCC is voltage directly from battery (not through ignition switch). I think there's a dash fuse box option slot for this as well.

Are there any additional instructions for the system?

Relay is usually the start-kill relay. When you added power door locks did you test them to be work before starting on the alarm wiring? If everything tested fine than there should only be 2 wires need to be ran to the power door lock relay.

Going with figure 4 on the diagram you ground "Orange" and "Orange/Black". "Yellow" and "Yellow/black" you connect to 12v source. Now for "White" and "White/Black" one of those will lock and unlock so those two you will have to test.

No other instructions where given and i have everything hooked up just the way you said but it doesnt unlock the doors im guessing because i didnt know how to wire up the relay

well the only thing that i had to buy seperatly from this kit was the power door lock actuators. and the way i teted them was by manually supplying a 12V source to unlock and lock.

What Civic trim do you have?

Based on the diagrams, the relay is not part of the door lock system.

Do the power locks work without the keyless, that is using the switch?

How do you lock and unlock manually?

How do you have the actuators wired into the system?

It's just two wires ground one side and 12V to the other and vice versa

What is your voltage source for the Yel and Yel/Blk wires and your ground source for the Orn and Orn/Blk wires?

Reconfigure the central lock wires as shown below and then check whether the locks now work.

No it means that the orange and orange/black don't go anywhere, so just make sure those two wires don't make contact with anything or ground. Yellow and yellow/black both go to ground, white and white/black will lock and unlock your actuators, that means those two wires will be connect directly to the two actuator wires. White would go to one of the actuator wires and white/black would go to the other.

I still think he should do diagram 4 but lets try this first.

I think you may be right. There appears to be no voltage source in diagram 2.

Reason being is because these are aftermarket actuators and it kinda resembles what I had to do for my dads tacoma, well used to be mine. I ended up having to build a relay system, went to 12volt.com for that. But that was the past when they didn't didn't have the relays built into the brain. So yeah I say go with diagram 4.

Figure 4 the one that shows the aftermarket actuator pictured is what you want to follow. VCC is a constant power source. Aftermarket actuators work on a push pull type setup where one line receives power and the other line gets ground and the wires switch for lock or unlock. Commonly referred to as reverse polarity or five wire. On a side note I like adding oem doorlock actuators cause they are quieter and last longer.

The actuators on my old Tacoma are still running strong after 10+ yrs.

I have tried both diagrams but i think that the issue is that these remotes do not work with this unit. So i contacted the seller about this issue and he is sending me another kit and im hoping this one works.
