Default Possible Rod Knock?

I have a 96 civic hatch CX with a b18b1 swap, while driving today I noticed that when i got up to the 20-30mph range the car would make a knocking type noise and also some kind of squeaking. At idle the car sounds perfectly normal, no knocking noise.

I do have a CEL for my TPS, could this have something to do with this issue? Any advice given is greatly appreciated thank you.

A TPS issue wouldn't cause a knocking noise. Do an oil change, and look in your oil for any metallic flakes or particles.

Alright ill check that out. Could this issue be a symptom of low transmission fluid? Because i lost a bit when i had an axle issue.

Doubt it. A knock is a knock - it's hard to mix it up with other noises.

Rod knock is very obvious.. You'll hear like a jackhammer beating in the bottom of the block.. Hard to turn over because the loose bearing jammed the crankshaft. Or the yet milder issue is like a loose nut rooling around in the bottom end.

Maybe the term "knock" shouldn't be used in this case then. Because every situation I see with a rod knock, you can hear it when the car is idling. But, mine ONLY happens when I'm driving going about 20-30mph. My exhaust was installed today, i didn't really think anything of it but since this issue is happening after work done on my exhaust I guess it would have to be something involving that.

A recording of the sound would be helpful.

I've work in a lot of cars that knock at cold start and when rev, not a sound at idle.

Do what Notaracist say, check for shinny flakes in your oil.

I will post a vid of the noise tomorrow. Also, when its in neutral and i rev it up it doesnt make the noise. Which is now making me think its not something involving the engine.

The exhaust may wiggle a little more when your accelerate or send vibrations through the pipe, this can cause it to hit or tap against the surronding metal, if its aftermarket or improperly installed, causing a noise. Just a simple thing to check to rule out any small problems exhaust problems. my car has done this a few times.
