Koni/GC vs FA500?
I'm stuck as far as deciding on a spring/shock combo, and both are about the same price. I've driven a car with the Fortune Auto 500 coilovers and like how it feels/drives (is nice) but never driven on Koni/GC's and have no friends.
Are the FA500's worth the extra hundred or two over the Koni's?

You'll like either, both are good "entry level" setups. I have koni / gc on my eg and FA 500's on my S14. Both have good warranties and can easily be rebuilt / revalved / spring rate changes.
FA 500 would be better if...
- you want to go stiffer than 650 lb/in (~12kg/mm) Koni will not warranty their shocks( standard Koni yellows) once you go past 650 lb/in springs.
- you want an assembled coilover that will bolt right in out of the box.
Koni / gc would be better if...
-you don't want to upgrade to swift springs. It's straight up cheaper for the koni / gc
- sub 500 lb / in springs. I don't have any issue with my a shocks or the valving on the FA's, but Koni yellows are so reliable and proven to work
- you have nice top hats that you can reuse

EG - 12k / 9k ------- S14 14k/12k
If you mean by "ride" for a street car I may not be able to give the best advice. Both cars have stiff mounts / bushings / tires / fiberglass seats with basically no padding. I live in Michigan and I think you'd be hard pressed to find worse roads than are in my area. I find both to ride very tolerable for mostly track focused cars. I'd think the EG is best summed up as very planted and stiff but not jarring. Hitting big pot holes and cracks in the road is pretty rough, but the car doesn't feel like the suspension is going to break ( like with racelands or any of that stuff). Normal road bumps and dips ain't no thang, the konis go over those with no issues. The FA's ride basically the same, but I think it's really hard to compare a heavier RWD car with bigger tires to a civic.
If you liked the car you rode in with FA's you'll like the koni / gc too. Good luck with your decision! You can't go wrong with either IMO
