Default help choose rear sway bar size

Hi guys,

Im currently running koni/GC on my civic si 00 (430F/300R) with stock front and rear sway bars (26mm/13mm).

I dont like the unsdersteer that Im getting so I want to upgrade the rear sway bar.

The best kit i found was ASR (bar+subframe+endlinks+bushings) but the issue is that it comes with a 24mm bar, which might be too large!

Hope that any body is running similar set up and advise how does it feel !

I just need a neutral or very slight understeer set up. I dont need any overtseer! im not used to it.

Thanks

It's hard to recommend sway bar settings as it is really up to driving style and individual person to determine the results. What is your camber set to? Ek's have lots of camber in the back when you lower them. Knowing the alignment numbers can help us see where your setup is. I have the ASR 24 mm on both my dc2 and EK and it's perfect for me after I set the rest of the car up the way I like.

ITR swaybars ( 22mm) work with the asr brace if the 24 or 26 mm bar is too much. Really can't go much smaller than that in the back short of other stock roll bars.

My EG has an EX front swaybar and ITR rear. The swaybar was such a big improvement over stock. You can actually get the car to use the rear tires! It's very neutral with maybe a hint of oversteer in faster corners. The car rotates so much better into turns and through the middle of the turn.

Quick vid of how the car drives, skip to a few minutes in

Take your front sway bar off and go 24mm in the rear. You'll still oversteer bad with a 26mm front bar and a 24mm rear

My car is almost dropped with 1 finger gap between fender and tire.

It doesn't have any camber kit, the rear camber is -2.2

I'm 350 front 450 rear with a Ex (21mm) up front and ASR 24 in back in my civic hatch. I loved the change in handling it provided.
