DRIVERS DOOR WINDOW WONT GO UP OR DOWN

I thought it was the switch and replaced that...but nothing works still. it makes a funny noise like its trying to work and sometimes it rolls down without you doing anything. Have any of you guys ever replaced the window motor?

Regulator gear or motor gear stripped, replace the regulator.
