Default Greddy Evo exhaust

I just bought a 02 Civic LX 5speed, and was looking into exhaust systems for it. Ive narrowed it down to a Greddy EVO or a HKS system. Ive never heard what an HKS sounds like on a civic to my knowledge, so i am a bit hesistant. Can anybody with experience with both of these systems give me a little advice? or should I look into another system. I want something with a good amount of HP gain, but without sounding obnoxious (ie tanabe)... help!

I have a 2k1 EX and I have a Thermal R&D exhaust, My friend has an EVO on his integra and it is very loud. I dont know about the HKS I have never heard it. If i were u research a bit more on what you are looking for. I love my thermal it is nice sounding and is nice and deep in low and high rpms. It is all on what u want

Im looking for something pretty mellow with a low tone. I dont wanna be setting off alarms going down the street (ya know what I mean). Everybody ive talked to says the Evo's are pretty mellow, but if your friends integra is really loud, i might have to look at some other options.

naw, my friend has greddy evo, its not that loud...sounds pretty good too, but if you want a REAL exhaust....go for mugen twinloop, now that muddafukka is the ****, looks nice, sounds quiet (till you punch it and then it sounds sweet as hell), and will give you a good 8-10 to the wheels...depending on the car...

hit it up with the Mugen TwinLoop...

who wants to second my suggestion?

i have the evo on my 98 coupe, its pretty quiet.
i ran without my cat for a while and it was really loud and obnoxious, i had to put the cat back on i couldn't stand the noise.
my friend has the hks dragger on his car and its a little louder than mine but not an annoying loud.
the greddy is probably a little cheaper anyway.

EVO's are nice.. i have it on my 99 coupe. it got kinda louder than i wanted it to be, but its ok.. but i gotta watch noise level everytime i see a cop. HKS is pretty loud.. i've heard it on a civic before.. doesn't sound bad but its kinda loud. my recommendation, if you want performance but not so loud exhaust, Apexi WorldSport. nice tone and not that loud.

I have a EVO on my ek 4dr. It is nice, I love the sound of the exhuast, it is quiet unless you jump on it. It also has a nice deep tone. The tip is a little big but since the muffler tucks up under neath the bumber it does'nt look too bad.

that is what I meant when you jump on it the EVO gets pretty loud, I guess it is all on opinion man, I was looking into that before I bought the Thermal, but then I did some more research and decided that I liked the Thermal alot more. I do agree that the tip on the EVO is huge. Go with what you like. PARANOID ANDROID do they even make a mugen twin loop for the 7 gen civics? jw

Ive looked around for the apexi world sport but i cant seem to find it for 01+ coupes. Does anybody know how similar the 6th gen exhaust is to the 7th gen? would it be possible to get some custom piping done or is it not cost effective. this is my 1st real attempt at modding a car (besides wheels, lights, blah blah blah), so i need all the help i can get

The EVO is a lot louder inside the car than outside...IMO it sounds pretty crappy if you just have I/H/E, it doesn't sound that great, it farts a lot sometimes.
