Icon2 1998 honda accord ex OBD 2 problem?

Hey call me stupid for doing this or this question....
But my wifes are is a 1998 Honda Accord Ex 3.0 v6 "j30a1"
We went to start it last week and it would not start with out pumping the gas even then it wouldnt idle. So I brought the good old chilton out and it said that I could test the ECU using a jumper wire. I dont have an OBD 2 reader so I decied to use a paper clip. When I pluged the clip into the marked 8 and 13 port it sparked a bit and the CEL went off and will NOT come back on. I also can no longer get the car to start. I replaced the main relay and got no results. I just want to know if I made the problem worse. I'm not sure if I killed the plug, blew the CEL, or fried the ECU? Any one else ever try this and have the same problems? I was told to pull the battery so I did but its charging so I havent put it back in. I am just looking for some input from you guys.
Thanks for the help guys!
Cody

Ouch.....most parts stores will test codes for free.

Which pins did you jump - ref pic.

What is the car doing now? Engine spins with starter, no spark....engine spins with starter but no fuel......or spins with starter but no fuel or spark?
