Reviews on Evans tuning
Looking to buy a motor from Evans tuning and was just wondering on there reviews. I hear a lot about them good and bad just want to get some in site from everyone. I seen they had some package motors available but wanted to know if I could customize the package.
I'd probably contact Evans about customizing a build, I don't see why they couldn't do it. Never dealt with them personally but have always read good things about them on the forums!
I've always heard good things about them and all their products they sell are top notch. I bought a bseries coil hold down plate for using kseries coils and billet dizzy cap, and both products are machined beautifully and fit perfect.
I do not know him personally, but he seems very humble and legit. You are better off calling him at the shop and speak to him directly instead of going off others opinion.
Well out side opinions are the most valuable so long as they are ACTUAL CUSTOMERS opinions.
This is just a statement....I have never heard of any bad encounters with Evans and i know they always perform to the top of their abilities at events.

Joe from locash makes those cnc parts, not evans.
I make some parts for Evans, some to their design criteria that is just for them. Jeff is a good guy and I would not hesitate to buy a built motor from him. Lots of great reviews.

I've purchased several items from them...Hondata s300, CPR kit, and ID1000's. I've also had my car tuned by Jeff this past November. Everything went without a hitch and he finished within 3 hours including a C16 tune and trip to the gas station for a street tune.
My goals and set up were run of the mill. Easily part of the bottom 20% in the 60/20/20 spread for Jeff. He delivered as expected and predicted a resolution to a minor issue with my calibration file.
They've got a very solid business that has been around for roughly the last decade. They've grown over the years. They don't look like they are in any financial distress and therefore aren't prone to doing shady things to make up revenue.

Since your in Hawaii just use laskey racing. He builds great engines and I just spoke to him on Thursday and he was really nice and knew what he was talking about. Just an idea at least it will save you money on shipping.
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but does anyone know the best way to contact him? I've sent an email and called but haven't gotten a response. Do they stop tuning after a certain date?

Evan's has tuned a few car's running our camshafts. Great results and a great guy to deal with. If I wasn't in the business, I would let him do all of my work.
