Not much we can tell you from looking at it like that. Are any of the valves damaged? Are they all sitting flush with their seats?

Because the head is aluminum, and if it has been excessively over heated then the could warp! Take it to a machine shop or do it your self. But you can have the head milled so mating surfaces are even. You can lay a straight edge across length of head and use a feeler gauge. I'm pretty sure the acceptable spec. Is three thousandths of an inch. If it slides through under straight edge then have it milled ! It will be better than new because it will actually raise your compression ratio and possibly increase performance. Other than that if the valve train is in tact and nothing broke you should be good. You should have performed a compression test on each cylinder. That way you can tell if valve and pistons are operating properly? Hope I helped

Try $50-$100, depending on the head and how complete it is. I see no reason to replace the head though. The tools to check it for warpage are stupid cheap - I would just check it, and if it's good, roll with it. Wouldn't hurt to tear it apart and have it cleaned before putting it back on though.

If you threw a rod the head may or may not be junk, you wont know until you pull it off the block. Sometimes when the rod breaks the piston is travelling up and it just keeps going until it slams into the head.
