Default 1/4 time exaggerations????

i am just wondering if most people that post their times are telling the truth. i hear such a broad range of answers i dont know what to believe. when i first got my 96 hatch i was thinking of turbo'ing the SOHC because people were posting that they ran high 13's and low 14's on stock internals boosting 10-12psi everyday without any problems. when i asked someone about boosting 10-12psi the guy said i'll blow my motor boosting that much on a stock motor. and so i decided to get a b18c1 because i heard you can pull high 13's and low 14's with i/e/h, but one of my friends has a eg with a b18c1 i/e/h (great driver) and got a 14.5?! and i was thinking that my EK is heavier then the EG and i'm not as good of a driver as my friend so i would probably pull 15's!!?
so i was hoping that you guys could post your HONEST times and your motor/mods/experience/etc...i am planning to spend $3-5k on my mods and would like to see what would be the most effiecient for the moneyz.
thanks.

search...buuuuuuuut..
Me- 94 Civic Si
at the time of times...no intake, ported/polished/milled head, 3 angle valve job, exhuast, and Nittio NT450's on 15 inch rims. I ran a 15.5 at 88 mph with 2.4 60 foot. This is in Spokane, WA with a pretty high elevation. Someone said the times are adjusted, but I don't think so.

not too change the topic or anything but do u have a riced out cavalier in yer avatar emerica? LOL by the way for a b18c1 eg look anywere from low 14's too high 14's cause there are so many factors. elevation, driver, engine condition, etc.

comes down to 2 simple things..........

Tuning and driver.

Start playing with boost or nitrous, and the turning window get narrow. Get outside the window and parts break.

No one who is smart goes out and starts spraying 75-100 shot or 10-12 psi of boost. You sneak up on the tuning. Even after my melted piston at 85 shot, I detuned to 65 shot for first pass. Plugs looked good, went to 75 shot. Stil looking good, let put old setup in hat I used to run 13.09.......Well I went 13.10 and she nosed over in 4th gear. Slighty melted #3 plug again, tiny alum. bits on the plugs.

OUCH!!!!, too far again!!!!! Wnet back to 75 shot and open exhaust cutout, 13.25 average of 2 passes. Went back 2 days later for Import Day with ZEX at 60-65 shot. Ended up with a 13.31 hauling ***! Without extra fuel (stock injectors at their limit) the extra nitrous wasn't helping, only melting parts.

Sorry for the rant, but I cannot stress enough the tuning issues. I'm just a beginner IMHO, but I have 20 years of exp.

1992 Civic VX with 99 B18C1 swap - Block + Head is completely stock. I only have bolt-ons: ITR JDM 4-1 Header, Injen Intake, JUN Cam Gears, ES Tuning Muffler w/ Custom 2.5" piping, Exedy Street/Strip Clutch, JUN flywheel, Quaife LSD, P-72 OBDI ECU, Apex-i VAFC and lots of dyno tuning. Best time has been 13.7@102.3 mph and a worst of 15.2. I will post time slips for those in disbelief.
