I recently got a new project car, its a delsol with a b18b1, it has the surging idle problem. I was looking for the FITV to clean it but there isn't one. Did previous owner change out the throttle body to something different?. I thought all b18b1's had FITV.

 

anyone? do all b18b1's have a FITV or only certain years?

 

manual obd2 b series cars didn't have a FITV.

 

its obd1 but the throttle body must be from an obd2 because there is no FITV. the timing was to advanced and once I adjusted it stopped the surging. however the idle is still high and I am having a hard time getting it set right. does any one have the proper calibration values to calibrate the TPS, I was told its 0.5v at closed and 5.0v at wide open

 

Did you clean the IACV? 94

 

I replaced it with new one from autozone, checked for vacum leaks and made sure the butterflys were closing all the way. The timing was some what advanced so when I retarted it a little it stopped the surging but idle is about 1150rpm. I tryed adjusting the idle according to the service manual with no succes. Its basically turned down as low as it can be.
