- motor pulled for B swap a few years back
- Nobody wanted to pay $300 for a z6 short block with that many miles, so I tore it down and planned on rebuilding it.


IMHO with any engine with say more than 100,000 miles it's always better to go with oversized pistons due to the normal wear that comes with usage. Since load is on the front & backside of of bore, they will have more wear & overtime the cylinder does become out out round.

On all my engine rebuilds with engines over 100k, I've always gone oversized pistons. Since I didn't buy new pistons yet, it didn't make sense to measure it cause i would of forgotten the numbers anyways. lol
