I HAVE A 92 EG HATCH WITH A B18B1 SWAP MY CAR WONT START WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE IT CRANKS BUT WONT TURN ON AFTER I GET MY CAR STARTED AND LET IT WARM UP ITS STARTS UP RIGHT AWAY I CAN HEAR FUEL PUMP TURN ON AND WILL ONLY TURN ON IF I SPRAY SOME CARB CLEANER INTO THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED MAIN RELAY...AND TEMP SENSOR... ANY IDEA WHAT IT CAN BE??

 

What year is the motor?
Do you have a FITV?
How old is your battery?

 

its from a acura integra 99.. and no it does not have FITV .. my battery is brand new.. it only starts up in the cold right away if i spray some carb cleaner fluid inside the throttle body.. in the summer no problems. replace main relay and temp sensor. and fuel pump turns on. still having trouble to get it to start when its cold out after i turn it on the first time it has no problem turning on again. only if i let it sit there for hours.

 

I wonder if it could have something to do with a weak coil or ICM? When you check for spark is it strong or weak/faint..

 

It's strong and sorry it does have the FITV
I really don't know what it could be because when I spray carb cleaner it starts up sometime it takes to times of spraying into throttle body but then it turns on and after that it turns on/off like a champ once it sits in the cold it does same thing all over.. Is there anything that sends a signal to ECU that detects when motor is cold or warm??

 

Like a type of choke mode or something?
