This was a respray that was done by the previous owner done at maaco. I am debating on if I should get it resprayed professionally. But Im not sure if its gonna make a difference or not?

It will. Quality paint makes a world of difference.

Case in point:
Here's a Milano Red hatch with great paint - https://honda-tech.com/forums/appearance-build-threads-122/whiteslipswithstickers-refresh-build-2013-a-3188101/

Try to cut and buff before you respray

It's Maaco paint so tread lightly. We don't know if it's single stage, or not.

I've blown thru the clear more than once with Maaco paint. It really is garbage.

Thanks Matt! This was actually a cheap paintjob done for around $800 by a hole in the wall body shop, but they did use decent PPG paint/clear. I'm not sure what kind of paint/clear was used on my bay this past year, but it is much "deeper" and shinier than the outside.

I would just try polishing/buff it. Dont wet-sand it.

looks like bad orange peel...
Polishing for days won't fix that...

Is the clear mixed in the base coat? Cheap paint jobs like to do this. If it is, you can't wetsand it.

You need base coat then a lot of clear on top to wetsand/cut and buff.

Here's mine, base with clear.

Then wetsanding/cut, then polished.

I plan on getting a respray anyway, should I tell the body shop just to strip the macco paint off?
