99 cv axle ?
whats up fella's just replaced the cv's on my 99 h22a4 with M2Y4 manual transmission!
my concern is that when I drove it I had a little vibration that wasn't there before and I could hear a slight whirring noise what could this be I put everything together the way it came apart?
also looked like gear oil that drained out...I thought the fluid was supposed to be a lower viscosity?...even tho fluid drained out when finished I was gonna add fluid but I opened the filler hole and the fluid is level so my guess is that it was overfull before so now that it is back to the right level of fluid would that somehow cause a whirring noise or vibration?
Any input will be greatly appreciated

first why did you make two threads for the same question? second if it looked like gear oil that should of been a red flag to begin with, i would start off there and re-check the fluid. Honda transmission oil is just basically regular motor oil. third are you sure the axle sealed? like snapped all the way in cause most the time you have to compress the axle a little and give it a few taps and make sure they pop completely in, sometimes they can be a pain other times they slide right in. So it maybe the axle isn't completely snapped in.
sorry about the double post that was a glitch on the computer I was using.
I was curious about the fluid to begin with but wanted to ask for other opinions before I changed it considering I've never had any issues with it...I will change it and see what that does!
the pass. side had to be tapped in but they both sealed like they are supposed to!

oh okay! just thought it was odd cause it was like identical posts. but you'd probably know right away if it was gear oil...it's thick and smells awful! If they both sealed well my guess would be the trans fluid
I would think so to! however just checked everything and everything is good so I replaced the transmission fluid and it made the vibration worse...makes no sense?
im gonna question my friend that owns a shop and see what he thinks I will keep updating as I go if someone has an idea im open to it! im stumped on this one!
