DA Integra temperature rising at stop
Hello Everyone, I recently bought a 93 DA9 and sometimes I notice that when I'm at at stop, my temperature rises by just a little bit, but when I get going it goes back to the normal position. Can someone tell me what's causing this, and should I be worried?
I haven't seen anything unusual. I haven't seen any smoke come out of the exhaust and I also haven't smelled any signs of overheating. I turned it off today and turned it back on in a matter of seconds and the temperature was normal. I don't really think it has a mechanical problem, just some kind of bad reading, but then again I'm no Mechanic so I don't know much. And no I don't know if the previous owner replaced the water pump.

Next time it starts to overheat, do these two things, in this order:
1) rev the engine to about 2,000 rpm and hold it there.
if that doesn't result in the needle dropping, let the engine return to idle, then
2) turn the interior heater and its fan on, full blast.
If revving the engine makes the needle go down, then the coolant is not circulating.
If turning the heater and fan on full-blast makes the needle go down, then nicknack is likely right that your fans aren't turning on. While the needle is running high, raise the hood and check for the fans turning.

Ok so effectively it heats up when I'm off the gas. I decided to put the car in Neutral and it started heating up even though I was coasting on the road, but once I was on the Gas It went down. I hope somebody can help me out, I really wanna fix this.
Its either a faulty water pump, sensor or you have air in your system. Did you do like fcm suggested and jump the ect sensor connector, to see if the fans come on?

Checked my Fans while it was running hot and noticed my left fan was not working. Also noticed a wire leading to the fan was disconnected, but I didn't connect it because I noticed the fan is loose. I guess all I need to do is remove it and place it right? Hope this is the cause of the problem....

It may be your problem but id still guess its elsewhere, fix the fan and see what happens and let us know.
Thats how half core radiator cars work. Full size radiator cars like integras should have both fans coming on together when NOT is reached and also when the ac is on.

If the rad fan and rad are stock/OEM, it's easy enough.
2X bolts on top and 2X bolts on the bottom, should be 10mm....

Rad fan is the one on the right, [pass.] side of car, condensor fan is on the left, [drivers] side of the car,
On G2s only the rad fan comes on when engine temp hits just under 200 degrees F, the condensor fan and rad fans both turn on when A/C is on.
G2s all come with full size rad but just the rad fan unless there is A/C. 94
