Icon6 Smells like burning oil, but isn't, and not overheating. What should I look for/check

I have a '95 Honda Accord EX 2.2 four-cylinder VTEC 5-speed manual, and as soon as I got it (about 1500 miles ago), I did an oil change. I have been noticing though that it smells like it's burning oil after normal driving (my daily commute is about 20 miles one way), but I've checked it time and time again and it's still full. I checked for leaks at the oil filter and drain plug, and neither are leaking. It's also not overheating according to the gauge. What should I look for, and has anybody else had a similar experience? If so, did you find out what it was? The car drives great and shifts smooth.

Any time I do an oil change I drip some on the exhaust pipe and I try my best to wipe it all off but I don't get it all and it's going to smell like oil for a few miles. No big deal.

The exhaust pipe probably gets to around 500 degrees. It's going to burn the oil in no short time.

That's what I thought too, but like I said in the post, it's been 1500 miles and it still smells the same way after normal driving. You think it would smell like that for that long?

it may be a small leak for u to notice that u are low on oil.
also check front and rear seal and the oil pressure sensor.
i had an oil leak before that i could not see until i checked the sensor and it was leaking from there.
also check ur distributor, could be leaking from the O ring seal inside the VC.

I haven't checked seals, just what was stated, plus the head gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, and valve cover gasket. I'll look into those today.

Looked at what you said, it looks to be leaking right by the distributor. With this new information, I searched for a similar thread and found one with the same issue, and his problem was with the VTEC solenoid gasket. I'm going to look into that soon. Tired of that nasty smell when I pull up somewhere, it's embarrassing lol seeing as I brag about how good I take care of my vehicle.

It's possible if you didn't tighten the oil filter all the way for it to leak as well. If you didn't smell oil before the oil change I would get under the car and look again at the oil filter area.
