Icon2 JDM 98+ B18C rebuild kit HELP PLEASE

hey guys my name is Rob I'm new to this forum,
so here we go

yesterday i bought a 98+ spec JDM B18C Type R motor, ( not a B18C5 )
so motor is healthy 250psi on 3 pistons and close to 200 on piston 4, this could be anything, i don't plan on selling the car so I'm gonna rebuild the engine..

so my big problem is, Is the 98 USDM B18c5 rebuild kit the same as the JDM 98+ b18c type r?? i can't find the answer anywhere please help me guys
or if its not does any one know where i could get a complete rebuilt kit for my engine, i don't need pistons or rods or crank, but new rings, bearings and top to bottom gasket kit or anything else you guys might think of!
please help me out thanks so much guys!

Try the All Motor forum, you'll get a lot better answers/info there. Just because it's a motor from a Type R doesn't really make it related to this particular forum. Welcome to the H/T community.

In the bottom block, everything should be the same accept for the pistons where the JDM ones have a bit higher compression. So, do replace all four.
In the head, everything is the same except the JDM camshafts are a bit hotter (higher lift). Hope this help.

Its the same as US B18C5. I just rebuilt my entire short block on my JDM Type R. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions, Ill be happy to point you in the right direction. I think I even have the part numbers all saved.

I though the only more aggressive OEM cams were in the CTR.

^No, the '98 up OEM JDM cams are the same as CTR cams. I'm merely let the op know that his '98+ spec JDM B18C Type R motor has a "more aggressive" cams than the USDM cams.
