I pressure washed my bay of my b18c and noticed there was water in the cyl 1 spark plug hole. With the engine OFF I removed all the wires to inspect for water. there was about an inch in cyl 1. I replaced the other wires to their homes and proceeded to clean the water out of the hole with a rag and screw driver.

there was a little bit left I couldn't get, and my old man suggest I just run the engine and let the water evaporate. When I fired it up it ran for about 45 seconds and died.
The wire was arching off the valve cover a few times so I moved it, it might have crossed another wire.
after then getting all the water dried up by hand I tried to crank my car over. No Spark. On any cylinder.

After inspecting the inside of the distributor cap I noticed there was quite a bit of dust and marks like it was arching everywhere, the rotor was kinda marked up as well.

Could I have fried my ignition coil? Any one have input thanks. I'm really stressed out.

It's an EJ8 with a B18C swap. ITR ECU.

 

Test the coil to confirm, but yes, the coil is most likely toast.

Hint, if you are going to pressure wash the engine/engine bay, have compressed air and a blow gun to "blow dry" the engine and bay. 94

 

I just tested the resistance on my coil and with the multimeter set at 200ohms
it registered 15.3 ohms.
