Icon6 CEL Problems!! Can someone help!!

So first off the car is a 91 CRX Si with stock OBD0. The issue I'm having is that the cel will come after a bit of driving. I turn the car off and back on. And the light is off only to come back on a few minutes after. Car runs the same when the light comes on seems like. It does idle dumb though. 1400-700,1400-700. Since the car is on, i can't really read the ecu. Just does a constant blink. Pause. Blink. Pause. My question is, how do I pull the code from the ecu with the car running?? Any help or info is greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone

Actually, it is: Pause. Blink. Pause. Blink. Pause.Pause.Pause.Pause.
You count the number of blinks between longer pause. That is your code. Then visit our FAQ section to get the meaning of your code. You may have more than one, so take your time and read it a few times for practice.

The pause blink pause blink pause blink is when the car is running. Then when the light comes on, it's stays the same. I will double check it to make sure it's not doin what you mentioned.

Sit there and count the blinks.. it might not be done blinking to where you see the slight pause in between codes (if there are more than one present then there is a different number set of blinks) otherwise it'll pause and go right back to the same numbered amount and blink again. It might look as if it is just blinking continuously so you'll have to just watch it. OBD1 & 2 are Alot easier to read. I rember OBD0 as it blinks quick and you have to pay attention and count the blinks. Good luck!
