Someone is trying to "still" your Civic? What's that supposed to mean?

A kill switch is stupidly simple, and 5 minutes on Google would have told you that. We don't do hand-holding here, and we expect at least half an effort in searching before creating a thread.

easiest kill is to:

Unplug driver side harness
unplug ECU and take with you
pull main relay

until you find your method for a reliable kill switch.

thieves also have internet connections and can find your basic run of the mill switch location.

Remove the horn and use the horn switch to run a kill switch in-line with the neutral safety switch (clutch switch). Nobody is going to try steal a car by honking the horn and the switch/wires are already in place...

Basically you would have to push the horn button, hold the clutch and start the car...kinda stupid, but i doubt anyone would figure it out

Not hard for a thief to diagnose and reverse an unplugged harness.

Virtually any Honda ECU from the same OBD generation will run your car, and thieves have them on hand.

Thieves have main relays on hand as well as many are interchangeable. You can also simply jump certain pins on the harness.

A main relay kill switch and an alarm are your best bet. If you spend money on your car, spend some on some kind of gps tracking solution. None are perfect, but they're worth the expense.

And they also read your "cause for alarm" page and know your tricks as well.

Hence the last statement in that post.

Can you drive the car with the ECU unplugged? Will it start up?

Uh, no. The ECU controls spark and fuel. Without the ECU, you get neither.

Installed something very similar for a customer a while back...basically a pain in the *** since you have to program a thumbprint for whoever drives it.

my opinion better off with a starter kill switch, put it under the seat or other
