Default What exactly is the part # for NGK bkr7e-11's? I have two......

I came up with this number during a search

NGK BKR7E part #6097

but I'm staring at a box of them right now and they're

NGK BKR7E part # 1283

are these the right ones? anybody want to confirm the right number for me?

Probably the 1283 is the right one because I have some NGK BKR7E's and the # is 6097. HTH

they might be the same plug, but gapped differently.

Huh?

So if you have part # 6097 than why would my part 1283 be right? Jes curious, thanks for the help everyone

So 1283 is OK right? I'm guessing I need to gap it closer because my car sounds like its misfiring even though its gapped at .030, somebody said .025?

Yes, part # 1283 is OK. That's the BKR7E-11's while part # 6097 is just the BKR7E's

1283 for the -11's. that's what i use with my DP kit. i've used them with the gap they have out of the box before with no problems, but now i gapped them to .035 which is a pretty small gap compared to stock. the plugs i've gotten in the past have come gapped close to the stock specs so i normally don't change them.

anything below .035 is too small unless you run lots of boost etc. and your ignition system isn't up to the job of sparking the larger gap.

the two part numbers is the same plugs
the 6097 is Suggested to be within .028 -.034 range and the 1283 is suggested to be .034 to .044

but you can re-gap both to whatever you desire, I gapped all mine to .030

does anyone know what the bosch plug #4217or wr7dpx cross over to on the NGK model?

I've tried to cross reference them on line, HELL, i even called bosch, but they have no idea what it goes to and if it's colder or hotter than stock? The person who sold them to me told me that they were SUPPOSE to be one degree colder, however, after doing some research, I found that on some bosch plugs, the higher the number (ie wr7) the hotter the range, anyhow, thanks in advance
