i have a d15 5 speed transmission i want to swap onto my 96 d16y7 wondering if there are any complications ill run into , pointers? also i need to replace the clutch in the d15 so do i buy a d16 kit or a d15?

 

all d-series 5mt trans are interchangeable, as for the clutch either or....see precious statement. pointers patience getting it lined up again lol I had the engine out when I did mine but would have hated to do it with it in.

 

As long as it's a '92 - '95 D15 transmission it just swaps right in, the clutch is the same for both. If it's an '88 - '91 D15 trans then no it doesn't work.
