There isn't going to be much of a difference in the two motors, just a slight difference. You probably won't really feel it. It would be better to swap in an h22a and it wouldn't be that much more harder.

The camshaft, intake manifold, and ecu are different. That's it.

A6 also has stronger valve springs and retainers from the factory to support the higher lift cam.

If you have the means to do it you would need to change the intake manifold (an A6 or an H23), the camshaft (A6), the ECU (Pt6), and wire in the IAB's (secondary butterflies). I did all of this to my Accord but could never get the butterflies working properly. Even so, it did make a noticeable difference in power. It was worth it.

If you want simple power right now without busting your *** get a P12 ECU and leave it be. The Honda Prelude S model have exactly what you got right now only they have a different ecu, the P12 that has more aggressive fuel maps and give it 10 more hp. They don't have the A6 just the A1.

For the A6 swap I wouldn't spend more than $200.
For the P12 ecu I wouldn't spend more than $80.

If you want to swap an H in there, now you're talking a lot more money.

Yes of course swap an H22, but only if he had the funds or if his engine was on its last leg. If he's got a healthy motor upgrading to the A6 is not a bad idea. 15 extra horses. Its good for a DD. The F22 engines stock are pretty stout.

But yeah if he's got the money and has the means to then yes, an H22 is a good choice. He can always sell his F22 and make up for the extra price of the H.

I've got an a6 that's going to put up some serious numbers on a stock block. It's money but worth it, yes

Seriously? Its not going to be an A6 if its gonna make "serious numbers" it'd be completely custom. You'd have to get different intake manifold, new header, bigger injectors, high compression pistons, and a tune.

Only problem is where you find a tuner who is good and knows what he's doing.
