Default 1997 CRV sway-bar in 1998 Civic ?

Hi everybody,
My question is, can we put the 97' Crv's sway-bar in 98' Civic EK ? lot of things are interchangeable between the two cars.
Thx

Read that thread, I was going to do the same since my CRV is sitting outside rotting and my Civic body roll is horrendous .

FYI: CRV endlinks love to wear, so if you do opt for installing a front sway, change the endlinks.

You'll need the lower control arms, end links and forks as well. Or do what I did if your car isn't an EX, https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...2590&styleid=2

96-00 EX

97-00 CRV

99-00 Civic Si

The CR-V sway bar links up to the LCA's like the 99-00 Si or CTR does. I don't know if the CR-V bar will physically fit...but if it does, you will need the following from 99-00 or EK9 CTR:
-Front LCA's
-Front end links (CR-V end links are the same as EM1/EK9)
-Front shock forks.
-Shock fork bolts. (CR-V bolts would probably work).

Furthermore, I wouldn't use a 26mm front bar with anything smaller than a 23mm rear bar. To do that, you would need a rear subframe brace and a JDM ITR/CTR sway bar, brackets, and links.

I did this swap this week.
99 Honda civic HB CX
Here is what I did mostly because I had the parts.
I used integra lower rear control arms. Had to switch the rear bushing from the civic but all lines up using stock front lower control arms.
I used integra GSR/ITR end links.
Had to drill new hole in sway bar to make end link align nicely. If stock hole on bar is used sway bar will hit lower control arm. Drilled new hole to rotate bar slightly so doesn't hit control arms.
The sway bar itself fits in nicely. However on harsh bumps does hit lower control arms.
Note this is a design in progress, car is lowered and front springs shocks suck.
Can't remember how to post pics but have some.

Note rear sway bar is 28mm with ASR brace.

^you mean integra front control arms?...but the rear part of the front arms?

I could see that working....but if the bar is going to hit the LCA, and you have to drill it....wouldn't it be easier to just buy the EM1/CTR front arms and forks? I get you'd be spending about $150 or so more...but....then it all works 100%.

Correct I used the stock lower control arm and the rear integra arm.
You cannot use the entire integra pieces as the bushing/bolt where it bolts to the cradle is 17mm integra and 19mm civic.
As far as control arm hitting, should be solved with better front springs,
Also considering making adjustable front helm end links which would allow adjustment.

I put this together with parts I had, didn't spend a dime.

Except the money you'll need to spend on heim joints or better springs? Lol...I see what you're saying, that those parts can be made to work.

I'm all for making stuff work...I think it might be better to just buy the right parts.

28mm sway bar is of Chinese origin check out aliexpress.com or download the app.
End links are cheesier than my ASR 24mm kit on my EF. But price was stupid cheap.
I am building this EK as a daily commuter/autocross/track/not sure its future.

Not sure the CRV wouldn't hit the EM1 control arms as well. It has to do with how it is bent.
When I aquire new springs and play with it some more will try and report back.

I may just heat the sway bar itself and change its shape slightly,
