2001 nbp theft in okc
I as of today bought a 01 nbp shell from Missouri but carfax says it was stolen in sept of last year in okc and that's where the car has spent it's whole life according to carfax... It's been repainted and has a damn moonroof ... Wanted to post and see if maybe someone knows anything about the car or a previous owner

you need to contact the police, it may have been stolen and then recovered, and be a salvage title, by doing the right thing and turning it over to the police if it is stolen, you will remove yourself from possible legal issues. Even if it has been stolen, if it's just a shell, the owner may turn title over to you, just to save the trouble of recovering it. Even if the insurance company owns it, they may sell it to you cheap for salvage

Sounds like you're doing all the right things. Glad to see you won't ruin an R chassis with a JDM front conversion, IMO they do look better but I'd put it back to stock. Same goes for the engine, keep it as original as possible if you can.
