Ok so i have been reading up on which clutch i wanted for the R and decided oem exedy.
Now i happen to have a oem khc05 integra clutch kit new but the 97-98 itr calls for a khc13 and 00-01 calls for the khc12 and and the khc05 is for 94-99 integras
So im a little lost. Also ran across this on a few ebay ads.
"Note: Exedy clutch kits KHC05 and KHC12 are the same item and interchangeable"
Now here re the specs on all 3.
khc05 94-99 integra
Disc Size 219mm
Spline Teeth / Major Dia 24T / 1-1/16in
khc1200-01 type r
Disc Size 219mm
Spline Teeth / Major Dia 24T / 1-1/16in
khc13 97-98 type r
Disc Size 210mm
Spline Teeth / Major Dia 24T / 1-1/16in
Could anyone give me any input and why would a 97-98 itr use a 210mm instead of a 219mm?
btw my car is a stock 2001 type r.

Use a 219mm clutch. The old clutches were updated to 219mm for wear and torque capacity.
KHC05s have very light pedal feel. The original honda ITR clutches are heavy duty. I think the KHC12 is a HD clutch.

now i was looking at the specs of khc05 vs khc12 and the pressure plate parts numbers are exactly the same. so what would be the change with the disk from each one considering they are both 219mm
i ran one of the 100 dollar exedy clutches for years on an itr engine, worked great, looked great when i pulled it out and replaced it with the chattermaster exedy 2 for a turbo

it's not a lot but you will notice it
there's also the exedy stage 1 which has a slightly stiffer pedal, more pressure plate pressure and a more rugged disc that can take abuse

I ran this clutch at expo this last year... Never slipped but gah... From the way it smelled when it was good and hot ... I was doubting it the whole time. Even on the drive home it was still smelly and 1295 is stock besides the exhaust
