Injectors, ID or SFI
Genuine question, looking at either SFI or ID 1000's injectors ( B series)
Obviously, there are many threads/posts re ID1000's but I find very little about SFI 1000 (1050's)
I know I'm not going to find a direct comparison as I would expect the marketing to be different but how do the SFI units stack up in real life?
Car is driven on the street and circuit plus it's used at the drag strip, I know the ID's will cover these bases and imagine the SFI's would but don't know for sure.

Mixed review interesting, I was 80% for the ID's but the SFI's came in slightly cheaper and as they'll be shipped to the UK costs soon ramp up with the local tax and duty charges.
Not against paying a bit more for a good product and service but I could find very little about these 2 points on the SFI injectors.

ID 1000's. The only thing on my car I've never had a problem with. My tuner would kill me if I switched.

With all that being said, you could purchase 8 ID1000s for the same price as a set of 4 ID2000s if you wanted to go that route.
QUOTE=N3va3vaSatisfi3d;49444820]You would if you ran a fuel other than pump gas. I have ran ID1000s with great success with all fuels and ID2000s with headaches. Pickling a fuel system every time you get home from the track gets old real quick. I switched over to 5-O Motorsport 2000cc injectors and never looked back. You actually get injector specific flow data too when you buy them. Not just some cardboard box with 4 injectors and a couple stickers... In my case the 5-O needed minor tweaking of the tune but run the same as IDs.

Go back to the FI forum, there are other options but 5-0 is a sub par option at best.

I was thinking of testing them, and sell them for a better injector, a race car shouldn't have to be pickling the system every race, that is stupid, if I only knew.
Haha, OK then I guess you guys are lucky then. Say what you want but there have been a few of us who have had ID2000s seize from sitting. Sent them to T1 and they said it was from E85 swelling/rusting ****. Ask Turbo-LS and I can't remember who else right now. Also, I never said 5-O was the best option but I haven't had an issue. Hell, I still have another new set of ID2000s and ID1000s sitting in the box as well as 5-0 2000s... All my IDs have been from T1 and I have been running pump E85 for about 6 years or more.
Hi Guy, yes this its true and something I will look at. initially I was after opinions on SFI Injectors as there are a few products based on the same Bosch core and I wasn't sure if SFI also used the same but the consensus would imply the ID's are a winner, I will settle for the ID's as they seem to be a known quantity and I know they'll have enough overhead to cover my intended use.
I like to be thorough and understand before I purchase so some very interesting points raised, thanks guys.
