i did a 91 cluster swap into my 89. i re-pinned the plugs according to the thread posted in the stickies. all operation lights function properly(turn signals, rpms, temp, fuel, all idiot lights etc...) except my speedometer and rpm gauge cluster lights dont work so i cant see how fast i am going.

i have replaced all bulbs on the gauge cluster. my climate control lights and rear taillights work, radio works, dome light work, cigarette lighter work. however, when i turn the dial on the 88-89 dimmer switch, it doesnt dim the climate control. it simply turns it on/off. the gauge cluster still never lights up

i disconnected the dimmer switch and jumped the red and black wire on the terminal and my climate control lights up but my gauges still dont
