My friend just had jdm b16a2 (30k miles on motor tranny axles clutch) swapped into his 95 civic ex about a month ago, the car has 80k miles on it and he's asking $8500, i think it's a fair price, and also concider that i am in alaska, and that car is in alaska. So what do you guys think, is the price fair, i need to know becaus i'm gonna sell my 97 civic dx to buy it. the car has a wings west front, z-3 fenders skunk-2 coil overs and a dc short shifter. let me know cause i want this car but i don't really know what hybrids are going for. Thanks.

well i just looked up blue book on his car and it's like 6,200, plus the motor swap, but also, you have to consider that i am in alaska and all vehicles here are moreexpensive than down in the states, so what is a fair price based on that.

I would offer him a little less, coupes will be a little more then hatches, i would base your answer on how clean the car is and how well it runs for what it has.

so add maybe a nice $1000 on that price, and call it a day. Remember you can sell the EX swap for almost $1000 alone, so dont think you can just add a swaps cost on top of that cars price, unless he includes BOTH motors.

swaps dont add much "value", we are a tight budgeted crew here....

so $7500 for the 95 ex sounds good. i am selling my car for $8000, 97 civic dx i/h/e short shifter and drop zone coil overs, also has hx wheels on it, and it has 49k miles, and a one sub system.

 

i think he told me he ran a 14.2, but also he isn't the best driver, i got a better time in his car

 

Around here that would go for 6000.

 

here in CAli that car is worth roughly 5,500...everyone in thier mother-in-law has a B16 civic here in California...
