My ignition coils (mfd by import direct) keep failing. They go bad after about a month of service. They get a crack visible in the plastic above the output. This time, im going to replace with a part by omnispark, but was wondering if another part on my car could be to blame. Hopefully on an unrelated note, the gauge cluster lights work intermittently. Thanks for any ideas!

 

have you just changed the coil, or have you tried to change out the ignitor as well?

I suggest you get a different ignitor.

 

After putting in a new coil, driving 20 miles, and breaking down- I swapped in the ignitor from my parts car. Wish me luck on my test drive.
