How can i make a 13 second soch vtec civic coupe?????
Ok, i don't want to swap my engine cause i'm still making payments to my parents for it so that's outta the question. I suppose i have to turbo it but could you give me some info on what you think i would need to break into the 13's cause that's all i want.

Pull as much weight off the car as possible, produce as much torque as you can make with SOHC Vtec, Now make that torque curve last a long as possible and flat as possible, shift at the right time so that you never stop accelerating--you may have to swap trannies or gears for that, a set of slicks and plenty of practice will get you in the 13's...Its not going to be cheap but you will get there in time...Make the most of that engine of yours as its not a beast but its no slouch either...But realize, you don't just go out and run 13's...You will break parts on your way there...Keep on thinking positive and record your settings everytime you run...Keep things simple, such as non-adjustable struts so that have less to think about...But, Drag Racing is about Torque...Thats why these 500+ Cubic Inch Chevys run 4's...Hondas were never designed as drag motors thats why Mr. Honda dropped the b-series motor all together...He didn't like what us "Mercans" were doing with his "Formula One" bred motors...

well i heard of this guy making into the 12's just with a sohc motor. hmm this is what i heard from the dude. what he did was rebuild his hole motor changing piston, rods, cam, cam gears, valve, valve spring, retainer, and also he port and polish the motor as well as resleaveing his bottom block. hmmm he lower his compression so that he coud boost up higher the stock. (boosting around 18-20). its heard to bleive but that sohc ran 12's on a EG hatch.

Your best bet is going to be turbo. I well tuned turbo on a d16z6 can make it in the 13's with stock internals.
You could also research the black art of NA z6 tuning.....

LED muffler. That is one of the biggest power gains you can do other then the Light up Emblems.

hmm ,, ok listen close, measure a 1/4 mile off a cliff, then drive off as fast as you can, use a stop watch to know when you gone 1/4mile, stop the stopwatch. Youll b gettin 3`s on a sohc
