Default 03 accord v6 needs ECM, what other years will work??!!

I have an accord v6 coupe,2003, that my local dealer just diagnosed ECM failure, my car was shutting down every time it was not idling or getting throttle. Braking seemed to turn it back on as well. Problem is, oem ecms are on back order for a month, and this is my only car. Local scrapyard has an ECM from a 2005 accord v6 coupe, does anyone know if this will work?
Thank You

Yes. 03-07 V6 Accord ECM's have the same part number. Any model, 2 dr 4 dr doesn't matter as long as it's a V6 ECM.

pretty much your Honda/Acura PCM/ECM is just a blank I guess you could say. Then when the dealership or your self programs it. With the HDS it becomes the vehicles personal thing. long its the same part number and is for 03 thru 07 Accords 4Dr sedans V6 models your good.

When you say "ECM", do you mean "ECU"?

Never heard it referred to as an "ECM" before...

ECU/ECM - same thing. Honda uses both terms. Unit/module, take your pick. Some other car companies use PCM (power train control module).

If you look up the part for the 2003 Accord it's actually called "module, engine control ECM"

PCM is used when the ECM/TCM is combined in one unit.

Wasn't really sure nowdays. Only time I've ever messed with the computers is back when I was dicking around with the 92-95 Civic and 94-01 Integra stuff. Everyone refers to those as "ECU's". You say "ECM" regarding one of those, and people look at you like you're an alien.
