2002 Honda Civic SI hatch 105000 miles
This is my first time posting to a forum but I was hoping for some opinions. I think that I may have blown my motor last night, I was at about 3000 rpm slowly climbing a hill in second and i started hearing a loud grinding scraping noise. I pulled over as soon as possible and shut it off. I later tried to record the noise on my phone and eventually the car shut itself off and I have not attempted to start it since. The noise sounded really unhealthy and had to describe. At first I thought it may have been plastics scraping against each other but it was coming from under the hood so I went home and looked it up. I think the most likely answer is my oil pump went and i blew my motor but I have seen many similar cases. I will try and post a recording of the noise later today but any information would be helpful.
