theres about 1000 of clear coat repair articles but i just bought a hood thats delaminating on the sides and the top is separating from the bottom frame. i got it for 30 bucks
anyone has a an article about the hood repair
from what i gathered so far.
i clean the contact areas (spray with carb cleaner?)
use epoxy to glue the layers back together.
lightly sand the top and reclear.
questions i couldnt find
there are hood pin holes. can i fill them up with epoxy and then lay a small piece of carbon fiber sheet on top to cover the holes so at least it matches the weave somewhat close enough.
i will post some pictures later

Lord fuser makes an adheasive that will fix the seperation but its about 40 bucks. I think you use the one for fiberglass, it will make a much strong bond then epoxy.
Napa might be able to get it but I am unsure. Lord fuser makes a ton of adheasives you will have to go to their website and look through what they have to offer. I am sure that that 3M has something that would match too.

You can just use a fiberglass filler and then clamp the hood shut made by 3m.
Those areas where the clear is gone, it looks as though the carbon has been sanded through the weave? Did you sand it or was that the sun's doing? If you can manage to sand all of the other clear areas and re-clear it should look good- but those areas where the weave is damaged you will notice.

You can always just separate the two layers and discard that bottom and reinforce the hood with some honeycomb cross bracing. I separated mine on purpose beings weight is a concern on my car for the particular class I run in.
As for the finish, just scuff it up and reclear it
