Whats up guys. I have a 97 accord ex and the check engine light is on but when I scan it no codes come up? but everytime I hit the throttle in first gear it lags then takes off. it doesn't happen in any gear except 1st. (its auto). im kind of new to the Honda game so I need help please.

 

Have you verified ignition timing is correct? Have you checked timing belt is correctly timed? Have you looked for any vacuum leaks?

 

no leaks and timing is correct.

 

Having same issue. Havent figured out yet but myfuel pressure is 30 psi at idle that is kind of low and spark advance is 9which is bit retard. I'll be replacing pump and check tdc marks toake sure timing is correct. So far changed distributor injectors and plugs but mo use
