I know when you take your valve cover off, you have to replace the gasket, do you have to replace the gasket when you put the header back on as well...I am going to polish both of them...actually, has anyone tried polishing a ceramic coated dc sports header? I will be using 600 grit on apalm sander, and then wet sand by hand 1000-1500-then 2000 grit. Please let me know.

just inspect both gasgets carefully and replace if needed

 

i think if you polish a ceramic header you'll get down to the steel, and it might rust. I know their SS headers would be ok, already polished...but the ceramics might not be SS under the coating.
