Hey guys! I've been lurking this site for a very long time and throughout the entire build of my project!

I finished building my car in 6 months, bent the cage, did all the prep, paint and everything on my own in my little un-heated, dimmly lit garage, and have just finished my first complete season of racing! Its the most insane fun I've ever had, everything from build to race!

I wanted to share this video me and my codriver put together! and check out below for my build pictures!

We are a grassroots team with a small budget that we stretch to make sure we can get to every event! and I think the only team that doesnt tow the car up haha, just pack the back with all of our tools and spares and hope we can drive it home after the race! We have so much fun in the car though it's insane!

Thanks for the kind words! A lot of options are available when racing the civic for sure! And a guy here in Western Canada a few years back was beating Subaru's regularly in the Western Championship in is EG. Aaron Neumann was his name...so it can be done! it just takes alot of ***** and skill. I hope to have more skill as I race more!

I'll update this thread more when I start to upgrade some parts. I am going to change the 3rd and 4th gear out. trade the helical LSD for a clutch type and some other this and thats. I want to fabricate a fiberglass pod light thingy. I found a thread somewhere, someone made a home made one pretty nicely!

And when I saw you paint the inside white, I was hoping you were gonna paint the whole care championship white, like a CTR. But still cool haha.

 

Actually it was really hard to decide. but only because just about every rally car is white somewhat, I looked at all the cars running in Western Canada and wanted to go completely unique, hence the Vibrant Lime Green! Howevvveerrr the Championship White is sooooo slick. will be repreping the bodywork and painting again this summer from all the wear and tear and a few off's into the side of mountains. I am thinking White everything, but I was going to keep the green with a vinyl wrap matte green. Not sure yet. Also might do a race type livery!

But this stuff is no as important to me! as long as i'm good to race, thats the first priority! then I deal with cosmetic haha

I have chatted quite a bit with Aaron about his car, as I used to help out with the VW Beetle driven by Wayne Mayall, and go watch the rallies around Calgary whenever I can.

 

Thanks! yea I've only met Aaron twice when he was co-driving Bigwhite and he was with Yokohama at RMR! super cool guy, he's my inspiration for how I want to drive and how I want to push myself!

For people who don't know, Aaron Neuman use to race an EG civic in the western Canadian Rally Championship and was beating even AWD subaru's regularly.
