My coolant overflow container is a bit dirty and dingy. Was wondering if you have a miracle solution to clean it out. Was concerned about putting too many chemicals in there as they may not mix well with the coolant.
Thanks in advance

1) Remove it and hose it out. Put the cap on it and shake it vigorously.
Empty it and add your favorite detergent, water, and shake it until you see results.
Rinse thoroughly.
2) But a brand spanking new one for about $40 (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/)
3) Make your own! Remove stock reservoir, reuse the old hose and run it to your bottle of choice. Do not make the hose to coolant reservoir connection air tight (the coolant tank/bottle needs to allow air in and out as water passes back and forth into the radiator). Fill the bottle about halfway and make sure the hose end is submerged.

I removed mine, rinsed it out. filled it with dish soap and pennies and shook it around for about 20 minutes. Rinsed it again, then used water + muratic acid (HCL) and shook another ten minutes, the acid seemed to take some of the yellowness out of the plastic.
