Best Aftermarket Alternator Brand for '98 Honda Civic HX?
Hello, I've been noticing that my alternator may be getting weak. It makes a lot of noise that I can assume are the bearings and considering the car has 175,500 miles on it over a period of 15 years, I may want to replace it. Last thing I want is for that battery light to come on during rush hour traffic. I was looking around and I've found a Denso reman alternator on Amazon for $126 which doesn't seem too bad. I'm also seeing RockAuto has some TYC, Bosch, Remy, Valeo, Beck/Arnley, etc, etc. What brand have you had good experience with? The alternator isn't exactly the easiest thing to replace on this car so I want to only do this once and have this one last 15 more years. I'm really leaning towards the Denso. I believe the OEM alternator is a Mitsubishi. Thanks for reading!
Nippon Denso is OEM for many honda's... It should be a solid alternator for your car.

Here another option. Advance auto parts. Order online 182 + 35 (core) + free shipping - 50 (coupon code HUGE50) = 135 (after core return) plus piece of mind that in the warranty period you can walk in any advance and exchange in unlike amazon or rockauto.
Denso makes a much nicer alternator than the Mitsubishis these cars originally came with. They tend to last a longer and they're a lot more rebuildable if something does happen.
That's a great deal. Is it new or rebuilt?
